The Investor Experience (IX)

Customer experience (CX) is the sum of customers’ perceptions and feelings from interactions with a brand’s products and services. After 7-years of speaking to founders through good times and bad times, I have realized a type of CX can be applied to my work as an investor. A rough definition could be a sum of founders’ perceptions and feelings from interactions with their future/current investors. Therefore, I will call it Investor Experience (or IX).

There is so much to unpack regarding IX that I would like to crowdsource some ideas from my founder/investor audience to help my thinking on the subject. Here are some spitballed ideas for starters.

? Term Sheet Delivery and Negotiations

? Investors Expected Involvement or Value Add

? Communications/Board Meetings

? Understanding Rights and Responsibilities

? Relationship and Trust Building

What are some topics or features regarding the feelings and interactions with your investors/founders that could be further defined?
