Bipolar Founder Relationships

I have been hearing tons of feedback from entrepreneurs regarding their current investors. I’ve noticed how quickly someone can say how much they love their financial partner until they don’t. Inevitably I believe the investor experience (or IX – new idea for blog post) a founder goes through ultimately depends upon the performance of the company. I would think it to be pretty hard to be a difficult investor if the company is absolutely ripping.

I find this to be true with new employees a founder hires. The new hire absolutely “crushes it” until they don’t. It is funny how bipolar founders are when discussing their partnerships/relationships between themselves and their people. Is this just a founder trait?
