Weekly Reads and Listens – Generative AI

Happy Weekend everyone…

This week I had a product call with co-founder of deal sourcing software Grata. He blew me away with the generative AI functionality that he is incorporating into the workflow. This finally pushed me over the edge into playing with Chat GPT-4.

After buying the pro version I am already finding it quite useful in building my upcoming market map on the nursing shortage which I am releasing this week. It saved me hours of time researching multiple sites to get basic information.

Reads ?:

  • My friend Adam Greenbaum started a newsletter – Bagel Bots– on Beehiv all on generative AI. He shares great articles, prompt tips, and apps he is playing with.

  • One of my favorite substack writers @Kyle Harrison just stared a new Substack called that provides in depth private tech company analysis.

  • San Diego founder created a great writeup on Constellation Software. Anyone interesting in software buyouts should read this.

  • The Diff did a great piece on 100-Short Due Diligence questions. It definitely expands the mindset in making an investment decisions.

  • A letter/petition signed by Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak among many others about slowing down the progress of AI for fear of the future of humankind.

Listens ?:

Not to pump my own pod but my interview with Jon Hunter EXPLODED on YouTube. Jon has decades of selling software including through 2 market downturns. He takes us to school on what is normal to expect during a market downturn.

To continue down my ChatGPT-4 rabbit hole I decided to listen to the mad scientist himself Sam Altman talk about OpenAI with Lex Friedman.

Purchases ?:

After about a year of taking off of running and cycling I started feeling my age getting back into it. One thing that my coach has recommended is this massage gun to blast my calves and hams. It is painful but the thing works.

Have a safe weekend everyone and I will see you back out there on Monday.
