Re-Dedicating Myself

My morning routine that helps me be less abusive to those around me.

Stress, anxiety, and irritability have all been on my daily menu for the last several weeks. Most of this boils down to having three kids under three years old and moving into our new house in Arcadia.

Patience and cool-headedness is a necessity for my job as an early stage investor as well as a father and husband of a new growing family. I needed to resort back to a time when I felt most balanced in my life. It was when I was doing my morning routine.

So today marks day two in my re-dedication to my morning ritual. I start at 4am because then I am almost guaranteed that I will not be interrupted.

  • Morning Meditation

  • Journaling

  • Reading (currently Elon Musks biography by Ashlee Vance)

  • Garage Workout

  • Cold Plunge (50 degrees)

  • Content Creation (What I am doing right now)

As I am writing this I feel like I’m on fire. Life is a series of re-dedications. I am glad I’ve got this routine my toolkit.

I get up early, like really early—truly, at an unfathomable hour. As part of my morning ritual, I engage in expressive writing to bring clarity to the labyrinth of my thoughts. Delving into topics encompassing startups, investing, and personal growth. People seem to like it.
