Last Friday, we drove from the 116-degree Phoenix heat to the excellent steady 71-degree San Diego weather. We bought our summer home in Carlsbad right when the pandemic broke out. I thought I was buying at the top of the cycle then but shrugged it off, knowing I would spend years enjoying the house with my family.
It turns out three summers later that the market continued to go up exponentially. Now that the market has turned to rancid sour milk, I suspect all the real estate will return to reasonable levels. Onward.
I have been lucky enough to be given some great office space at Launch – a startup studio out of San Diego. They are incubating some great companies, and I cannot wait to meet all of the founders. This will serve as our central command center for calls, deep work, and podcasts. However, I plan to spend most of my time out meeting with founders, operators, and connectors in the San Diego ecosystem.
I want to meet you if you are a founder, operator, investor, or connector. Please DM me on Linkedin or email me at david@dwpcapital.com!.
