After three glorious months in our summer home in Carlsbad, I am returning to the sweltering hot desert with my oldest daughter Sophia, our golden retriever Charlie, and of course, Pretty Bird (my wife’s childhood cockatiel that won’t die.) We had great memories this summer, including 1-1 time with Sophia in Legoland (yesterday), long walks on the Batiquitos Lagoon, and visiting with my old San Diego friends. Onward.

I am excited to be getting into my original routine. I miss my office, my garage gym, and the cold plunge. Repetition and routine make me feel comfortable and in control.

On the business front – Marcella and I have our marching orders for the second half of 2022. We have noticed that we have become very successful at building a pipeline of shitty companies. It is time to start fishing with a spear, not a net. We have made some internal processes and sourcing techniques that we are very optimistic will bring outstanding results.
